Dakota Kai sends a message from WWE's Japan tour; seemingly references AEW star

Dakota Kai was back in Japan the past few days as part of WWE's tour of the country. Kai also seemingly referenced an AEW star in one of her social media posts.

The Damage CTRL member had three matches during the three-day tour, losing the first two before winning the final one. She teamed up with her stablemates IYO SKY and Kairi Sane, and Tiffany Stratton to take on Bayley, Meiko Satomura, Jade Cargill, and Bianca Belair in the first two days of the tour. Kai and SKY then beat Cargill and Belair on the final day.

In a post on her official Instagram account, Dakota Kai shared some photos from their three-day tour of Japan. One of the photos was taken at the famous Takeshita Street in Tokyo, famous for its shops, boutiques, and fast food outlets.

"JP, JP, JP," Kai wrote.

For those wondering, it's not a reference to AEW star Konosuke Takeshita. The street is a famous destination for tourists in Tokyo. Takeshita was born and raised in Osaka, a five-hour drive from Tokyo or two hours if one takes the famous bullet train.

NXT star seemingly confirms relationship with Dakota Kai

It seems like Dakota Kai is not single anymore after NXT star Eddy Thorpe confirmed that they are in a relationship with a series of photos on his official Instagram account. Thorpe shared a bunch of images, three of which featured Kai.

The photos show them holding hands in the third picture, while Thorpe is kissing Kai in the eighth one. The Damage CTRL member can also be seen in another picture with a Star Wars Death Star Lego set.

It's unclear when the two started dating but Thorpe arrived in WWE last year and was immediately assigned to NXT. He spent the majority of his early career in Japan, wrestling for promotions such as NJPW.

Kai, on the other hand, was nursing an injury for the majority of 2023 before returning just in time for a match at WrestleMania 40.
