Dakota Kai sends one-word message ahead of career-changing match on WWE RAW
Dakota Kai has shared a one-word message ahead of a huge match scheduled for tomorrow night's episode of WWE RAW. The promotion is currently building toward Money in the Bank 2024 next weekend in Toronto, Canada.
Damage CTRL was selected by RAW during this year's WWE Draft. IYO SKY has already qualified for the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder match on July 6. The Genius of the Sky won the match last year by handcuffing Bayley to Becky Lynch and climbing over both of them.
Sky's stablemate, Dakota Kai, will be competing in a Triple Threat match tomorrow night against Zoey Stark and Ivy Nile. The winner of the bout will qualify for the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder match next weekend. Ahead of the match, Kai shared the promotional graphic for the match and added the word "tomorrow".
Damage CTRL turned their back on Bayley after the veteran won the Women's Royal Rumble match earlier this year. The Role Model defeated IYO SKY at WrestleMania XL to win the WWE Women's Championship and successfully retained the title over Piper Niven earlier this month at Clash at the Castle.
Dakota Kai wants to compete for a single's title in WWE
RAW star Dakota Kai recently noted that she has never had an opportunity as a singles star at a premium live event.
Speaking on her Twitch stream, the 36-year-old noted she hasn't had a chance as a singles star on the main roster. Kai's eyes got watery during her rant but the former champion claimed that it was due to allergies.
"I've never had an opportunity as a singles competitor on a PLE. I'm not talking about NXT. You know what I mean... I'm getting like, ugh. You know that feeling where you're like [bangs the desk], 'Give me an opportunity, please, anything.' I'm crying. I'm crying because I'm so emotional about this. No, it's my allergies. I'm not actually crying. But seriously, come on now, get behind me, bro," Kai said.
Dakota Kai has never captured a singles title during her time on the main roster and in NXT. It will be interesting to see if she can qualify for the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder match tomorrow night on RAW.
