Damage CTRL member breaks character after WWE RAW, sends a message to fans
Damage CTRL member Dakota Kai broke character after this week's Monday Night RAW. During the 2024 Draft, the faction was drafted to the red brand.
On this week's Monday Night RAW, Kai teamed up with Kairi Sane. The duo came up short in a Fatal Four-Way Tag Team Match to determine the number one contenders for the Women's Tag Team Championship. The match was won by Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark, who are set to challenge Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill.
Taking to Twitter/X, Kai broke character and expressed her gratitude towards the WWE Universe for their incredible support.
"Also… I do see all the signs, and I’m so grateful! I’m sorry they get confiscated, but just do it more, haha! F it we ball!" wrote Kai.

Dakota Kai revealed her honest opinion of former Damage CTRL leader Bayley
In 2022, Bayley formed the Damage CTRL faction and introduced Dakota Kai and IYO SKY as her stablemates. Over the years, the faction underwent major changes, especially with the addition of The Kabuki Warriors.
Earlier this year, The Role Model was booted out of the faction after she won the Women's Royal Rumble Match. Later, Bayley defeated IYO SKY to claim the WWE Women's Championship at WrestleMania XL.
Speaking with 97.7 QLZ, Kai commented on her betrayal of Bayley and claimed the latter was too controlling.
"So, I am grateful to Bayley, right? She allowed me to come back to the company; she has given both IYO and me a lot of opportunities. But I think at the end of the day, if you have a parent that is a little bit too controlling of the things you do, that is how we [Damage CTRL] felt. We felt like we could do a lot more without her leash on us," Dakota Kai said.
The latest edition of RAW proved to be a disappointing affair for Damage CTRL. While Dakota Kai and Kairi Sane failed to grab the number one contender's spot for the Women's Tag Team Championship, IYO SKY lost to former NXT Women's Champion Lyra Valkyria in the semi-final of the Queen of the Ring tournament. It will be interesting to see how the heel faction fares in the coming weeks.
