Cody Rhodes revealed that WWE is yet to fulfill the request for a match against R-Truth
Cody Rhodes has revealed that WWE is yet to grant him his request for a match against R-Truth.
Speaking on the latest episode of What Do You Want To Talk About?, Rhodes stated that he made a specific request for a match against Truth upon his return to the Stamford-based company. The American Nightmare said he was still waiting for that match to come to fruition.
"You knew I had come back and one of the things people always ask about my return and 'Hey did you have any requests, were there any mandatory things?' There was one. I wanted to make sure that you and I had one singles match. Didn't matter where, didn't matter what, still hasn't happened, and it can happen now," said Cody Rhodes.
At the upcoming SummerSlam Premium Live Event, Rhodes will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Solo Sikoa. The Street Champion got a pinfall victory over the reigning champion during a six-man tag team match at the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event.
Cody Rhodes won the championship at WrestleMania XL, defeating Roman Reigns and ending his historic title reign of 1316 days. Sikoa is hoping to bring the title back to The Bloodline at The Biggest Party of the Summer.
