Damian Priest accomplishes incredible feat following WWE RAW

WWE Superstars Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley were rushed to a medical facility following a brutal attack by The Judgment Day on the most recent edition of Monday Night RAW. After the show, however, Priest was given something to smile about as he made it to the top 10 of this year's Pro Wrestling Illustrated top 500 wrestlers list.

The 41-year-old has had an impressive couple of years, especially after he aligned with former WWE Superstar Edge to form The Judgment Day. Priest won the 2023 Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Later the same year, he won the Tag Team Championship with Finn Balor.

Damian Priest's big break, however, was cashing in his Money in the Bank contract to win the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XL. He held the title for 118 days before losing it to Gunther following interference from Finn Balor. Thanks to his impressive performances over the last 12 months, Priest made a significant jump this year to No. 6 on the PWI top 500 list after being ranked No. 71 last year.

Damian Priest wants to team up with former WWE champion

Damian Priest was kicked out of The Judgment Day at WWE SummerSlam. He had several memorable moments as a member of the heel faction, many of which featured R-Truth repeatedly trying to join the group.

During his appearance on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, the former Judgment Day member praised the 52-year-old. Priest added he would eventually team up with Truth. He talked about R-Truth's humor, recalling how the veteran made him break character on television several times.

"Ah Ronnie [Killings], that guy. I mean, look, it goes without saying at some point we’re gonna have to team, we’re gonna have to properly. The guy is unbelievable how talented of a performer, actually, I can’t even say he’s a performer that’s him. Because we’re in the locker room or backstage, just walking by off camera and the guy has me in tears sometimes laughing. It’s unbelievable how funny he is, and it’s just his natural way of being. He’s just a funny guy and really lovable person. So everything you see on TV that’s real, that’s why. And it’s clear as day that he broke me a few times," he said. [H/T: CVV]
