Damian Priest breaks silence on WWE future after SummerSlam loss

The 37th annual WWE SummerSlam Premium Live Event was a gloom-ridden event for Damian Priest, for multiple reasons. The Judgment Day member is now speaking up and revealing what's next following The Biggest Event of the Summer.

The Archer of Infamy's bad night at SummerSlam began when Dominik Mysterio turned on Rhea Ripley in the opener, helping Liv Morgan retain the Women's World Championship. The Judgment Day's SummerSlam implosion continued when Finn Balor helped Gunther dethrone Priest of the World Heavyweight Championship after months of tension between the two stablemates. Officials have not confirmed the 41-year-old for tonight's RAW as of this writing.

The Punishment is not letting one bad night hold him down. Priest spoke to Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated today and said he's hungrier than ever before now. The 19-year industry veteran revealed that he had new goals, but he did not elaborate.

"As much as I accomplished, there’s still so much more. My dreams were to wrestle at WrestleMania and win a world title. Now there are new goals. I’m hungrier now than ever," Damian Priest said.

Priest's reign as World Heavyweight Champion ended at 118 recognized days. He captured the gold from Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania XL and went on to retain in just three televised matches. Jey Uso at Backlash France, McIntyre at Clash at the Castle: Scotland, plus Seth Rollins and McIntyre in a Triple Threat at Money In the Bank.
