Damian Priest won't leave The Judgment Day alone; the faction to split into 2, predicts ex-WWE host
There has been apparent tension within The Judgment Day over the past few weeks on WWE RAW. With many guessing the future of the heel stable, recently a former talk show host in Stamford-based company predicted the faction would split into two.
The former WWE host in question is Matt Camp. While discussing the recent developments in The Judgment Day storyline on his The Wrestling Matt podcast, he claimed the World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest would leave the faction. Priest has already agreed to leave the group if he loses to Seth Rollins at Money in the Bank.
However, the former RAW Talk host believes Rhea Ripley will also leave the faction alongside her real-life best friend. Meanwhile, Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, and Liv Morgan would be on the other side:
"I'm also coming around the idea of The Judgment Day going the way The Bloodline did. [Damian] Priest is gonna go babyface with Rhea [Ripley]. The rest of them over here. Maybe add somebody else, you add a big heel or somebody to The Judgment Day, the heel version with Finn and JD and Liv. I can see it. Then where does Dom fall in all that? That's the weird thing. Where does Dom fall in all of it? Because you can't make him a babyface. Not sure," he said. [From 19:49 to 20:22]
A Judgment Day member will cost Damian Priest his match at Money in the Bank, says WWE veteran
This week on WWE RAW, Finn Balor confronted Seth Rollins before Damian Priest also headed to the ring. The segment ended with Balor attacking Rollins before the latter superkicking him and Priest. After The Visionary delivered a stomp to The Prince, the World Heavyweight Champion returned to the ring to take his Money in the Bank opponent out with the South of Heaven.
Although Priest later asked Balor not to interfere in his fight on Saturday, former WWE head writer Vince Russo predicted on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW that the latter would cost his Judgment Day teammate the match:
"They are going to the old Finn goes to help Priest and it backfires and Rollins goes over. To me, that’s the simplest wrestling bubbly thing that they are going to do. You know what I am saying? How can they think that anybody cares about Finn Balor and Damian Priest? Finn Balor has zero heat. No heat whatsoever. We’re gonna find out that Finn Balor was behind the Liv Morgan thing and that’s gonna give Finn Balor heat? Really?" [From 37:43 onwards]
Damian Priest has successfully defended his World Heavyweight Championship against Jey Uso and Drew McIntyre. It would be interesting to see if he can add Seth Rollins to that list.
