DDP makes bold statement about Eddie Guerrero in heartfelt video
Today, WWE Hall of Famer Eddie Guerrero would have turned 53 years old. The legendary WWE Superstar tragically passed away at the age of 38 in 2005. Eddie Guerrero's untimely death shocked the pro-wrestling world, and WWE celebrated his life by dedicating one week worth of RAW and SmackDown episodes to his memory.
Now, WWE Hall of Famer and former WCW World Champion Diamond Dallas Page has uploaded a video on his official Twitter handle, paying tribute to the fallen legend. In the video, at the very beginning, he can be seen stating that without Eddie Guerrero, there would have been no DDP. In the three-minute video, DDP breaks down one of his matches with Eddie Guerrero, back when both men wrestled in WCW.
Eddie Guerrero was one of the most beloved Superstars in all of WWE
Eddie Guerrero paid his dues for years on end, including a stint as a Cruiserweight star in WCW. In 2004, he defeated Brock Lesnar to win his only WWE world title, at No Way Out. He went on to successfully defend the belt against Kurt Angle at WrestleMania 20.
Eddie Guerrero will always be remembered by the pro-wrestling industry as one of the most charismatic Superstars to ever grace the squared circle. It's been 15 years since he left this world, but his contribution towards pro-wrestling will never be forgotten.
