"Did he finish?" - Vince McMahon's three-word reaction to 46-year-old star breaking his leg in WWE match

An ex-WWE star has revealed Vince McMahon's reaction to him suffering an injury during a match on SmackDown.

On an episode of SmackDown in May 2002, Maven faced Christian in a singles competition. Unfortunately, he suffered a leg injury during the early moments of the match. He somehow managed to finish the match despite being in severe pain.

On his YouTube channel, Maven revealed how Vince McMahon reacted to his injury. Check out his comment below:

"Someone said 'Maven broke his leg during the match.' And Vince's reaction was 'Did he finish?' And I'm very happy to this day that their answer was 'Yeah he did.'"

Maven added that the fact that he worked through the injury earned him the locker room's respect.

"I do believe that this did a little to propel my respect in the locker room. I had guys who [previously had only given me] maybe a handshake at catering, were coming up, were checking on me. They were telling me 'When did it happen in the match?' And I tell them the first spot, and the fact that we actually finished the match, yeah it definitely earned me a little bit of respect in the locker room." [H/T SEScoops]

Vince McMahon once threatened to release Maven

Maven once wrestled a bad match against Christopher Nowinski on an episode of RAW. After the match, Vince McMahon made it clear that he wasn't happy with his work.

He was upset that Maven and Nowinski had a match like that on WWE TV in front of a large crowd and millions watching at home.

Maven's WWE run lasted for four years and finally ended in 2005. It has been almost two decades since he was released. He is still in great shape at 46 but is done with wrestling if his recent comments on his channel are any indication.
