Dominik Mysterio achieved something 20 years ago that 'blew away' everyone watching, claims WWE Hall of Famer

Dominik Mysterio is arguably one of the top stars on WWE RAW. A Hall of Famer recently opened up about his previous work that blew nearly everyone away.

JBL and Gerald Brisco recently opened up on several WWE moments during Sportskeeda’s What Were They Thinking? Speaking on the show, the Hall of Famers praised Dominik Mysterio’s work on the mic and in the ring.

They started from Dominik’s time in WWE nearly 20 years ago when he appeared in a storyline between Eddie Guerrero and his father Rey Mysterio. He was the main feature in the Custody of Dominik Mysterio match.

Brisco stated that even at seven years of age Dirty Dom got a few heads turning. He noted that many believed he had it in him to make it big in the company.

"I don't think there is one person out there who can say at 7 years old - he'll never make it. Everyone looked a Dominik at 7 years old and said, 'Man that kid has a career in front of him,'" Gerald Brisco said.

JBL went on to praise Dominik’s performance in the storyline at such a young age. He noted that many were blown away by his work in front of the cameras.

"Of course you grow up in the business, I get all that, but being able to do what he did at 7 or 8 years old is incredible. We were blown away watching Dominik in this match and this whole storyline," JBL added.

During their discussion on Sportskeeda’s What Were They Thinking? the WWE legends continued to discuss how well Dominik Mysterio performed in his father’s rivalry against the late Eddie Guerrero.

Brisco noted that the younger Mysterio was one of the main reasons why the rivalry and the match turned out to be a huge success. JBL added that the young star showed potential early in his career, and that helped him get to the company sooner rather than later.

"I don't think anybody knew that Vickie Guerrero and Dominik were gonna be so good. They weren't just gonna be good, they were gonna be great," the WWE Hall of Famer noted.

At Bad Blood Liv Morgan and Dirty Dom got one over Rhea Ripley as Morgan defeated her to retain her Women's World Title while Mysterio was hanging from a Shark Cage. Raquel Rodriguez’s return to the fold could help them stay on top in WWE for some time.
