During the same conversation with Chris Van Vliet of INSIGHT, Dominik Mysterio shared that he was thankful for the opportunity to face The Visionary in his debut match. However, the former NXT North American Champion admitted that his father Rey Mysterio initially believed he wasn't prepared for such a high-stakes encounter.
"I'm super thankful for the opportunities, because something like that doesn't come very often. I remember specifically my dad telling me he didn't think I was ready. I don't know if it was because he just had never seen me in the ring, I don't know what it was, but I knew that I wasn't going to get presented with another opportunity, at least like this," Dom said.
