Dominik Mysterio made a huge statement on Instagram after the highly controversial ending to WWE RAW, which saw Rhea Ripley return. The star's declaration will likely change the storyline's whole direction.
For a long time, Dom Dom has been feuding with his father, Rey. Brands separated the two but still found ways to confront one another at times. Since both have been on RAW, things got more heated with Judgment Day and the LWO clashing several times.
On WWE RAW this week, Dominik teamed up with Liv Morgan to face Rey Mysterio and Zelina Vega. Even though he claimed he wanted nothing to do with Liv, when the two of them won on RAW, with her helping him to get the pin, the celebration was rather intimate. This was when Rhea Ripley chose to return.
Now, the star has issued a statement on the same. He chose to ignore Ripley's return and his running up the ramp begging her to forgive him. Instead, he focused on the win against his father, ignoring Liv Morgan's contribution, saying he defeated the Hall of Famer alone. He also declared that he was the greatest Mysterio of all time.
It appears that his storyline with his father could finally be ending. This is not confirmed, but his declaration indicates that it is.
"Beat him all on my own. By myself. Greatest Mysterio of all time. #JudgmentDay😈⚖️," he wrote.
Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio have some things to sort out before WWE RAW
To say that Rhea Ripley was furious with Dominik Mysterio would be understating things. Morgan was responsible for putting her on the shelf in the first place and also won the women's world title—a championship that Ripley never lost in an actual match.
Given that Dominik Mysterio played an active, if unwitting, part in helping Morgan win, Ripley won't be happy about that. Also, he has helped Morgan infiltrate the Judgment Day further and has even worked with her.
This does not even include their rather romantic equation. The coming week should reveal more about the story.
