Dominik Mysterio potentially injured after high-risk spot; 34-year-old WWE star provides an update

Dominik Mysterio had a difficult night at WWE Bad Blood, and things are not looking in Dirty Dom's favor. According to JD McDonagh, the second-generation star suffered a bit after the event in Atlanta.

Dominik Mysterio became the most hated man on Monday Night RAW when he stabbed Rhea Ripley in the back at WWE SummerSlam 2024. Dirty Dom found a new love interest and remained loyal to his family after Ripley and Damian Priest were kicked out of The Judgment Day.

Speaking on WWE Deutschland, a fan asked JD McDonagh how Dirty Dom was doing after he was dangling from the shark cage. The 34-year-old star provided an unfortunate update and stated he's pretty beat up and the star's groin and ankle are giving him trouble after the high-risk spot in Atlanta.

"He was actually pretty beat up the next day. His groin and his ankle were dangling by one leg, giving him a bit of a trouble. He's a tough kid, he'll survive. He'll be okay. I'll say his ego is more bruised than his groin, hopefully," McDonagh said. (From 23:25 to 23:42)

McDonagh didn't cover the severity of the potential injury, but the high-risk spot took a toll on the second-generation star's body.

What happened to Dominik Mysterio at WWE Bad Blood 2024?

Last month, Rhea Ripley was granted another shot at Liv Morgan's Women's World Championship as Mami pinned the champion in a mixed tag team match at Bash in Berlin alongside Damian Priest.

However, the management was aware of The Judgment Day's interference, especially Dominik Mysterio, and decided to add a stipulation. Mami made the announcement and revealed the return of the Shark Cage in Atlanta.

During the event, Dirty Dom was locked and hanging near the ring inside a shark cage. Towards the end of the match, the second-generation star tried to escape but fell and was left hanging.

Rhea Ripley took the opportunity to beat Dominik Mysterio up with a kendo stick while he was stuck in the air. The match ended shortly after via disqualification as Raquel Rodriguez returned and attacked Mami.
