Dominik Mysterio's entry into The Judgment Day initially made zero sense, according to major WWE name
Dominik Mysterio is WWE's biggest heel on Monday Night RAW, and the second-generation star is not afraid of getting booed by fans. Recently, Damian Priest recalled Dom Dom's entry into The Judgment Day and admitted that the former NXT North American Champion's entry into the heel stable made ''zero sense'' initially.
Dirty Dom received new life on WWE's main roster when the second-generation star decided to step out of his father's shadow to join The Judgment Day in September 2022. The 27-year-old star has reached new heights in his career alongside the villainous stable since then.
However, Damian Priest was initially skeptical of Dom Dom's entry into the faction. In WWE 24: Damian Priest, The Archer of Infamy stated that Dominik's entry into the group initially made no sense. Moreover, the former World Heavyweight Champion said Dom was often seen as Rey Mysterio's ''shinny kid,'' until the 27-year-old decided to become his ''own person.''
"When he first joined [The Judgment Day], I mean, it made zero sense. Rey Mysterio's shinny kid, it just didn't make sense for him to fit with The Judgment Day. Till you saw him become his own person," Priest said. (From 39:59 to 40:10)
Dominik Mysterio is a part of The New Judgment Day after WWE SummerSlam 2024
After joining The Judgment Day, Dominik Mysterio entered into an on-screen relationship with Rhea Ripley. However, Mysterio turned on his Mami at the recent SummerSlam Premium Live Event.
After Ripley suffered an injury and went on a hiatus in April 2024, Liv Morgan started pursuing Dominik, and while the former NXT star initially resisted, he eventually joined forces with The Miracle Kid at The Biggest Party of The Summer. His interference helped Morgan retain the Women's World Title. Dominik and Liv later shared a passionate kiss.
Later at SummerSlam, Finn Balor betrayed Damian Priest during the World Heavyweight Title match against Gunther. This past Monday, The Demon introduced The New Judgment Day, which also includes JD McDonagh, Liv Morgan, Dominik Mysterio, and Carlito.
It'll be interesting to see what's next for The New Judgment Day.
