Dominik Mysterio set for grudge match on WWE RAW
Monday's WWE RAW season premiere will feature one of its hottest superstars from the past year, Dominik Mysterio. The Judgment Day member had some bad luck in the past month in his quest for championship gold, but he's preparing to bounce back on this week's edition as a grudge match has been confirmed.
The Judgment Day and The LWO have gone at it for a while now. This feud includes the rivalry between Dirty Dom and Dragon Lee, which began more than a year ago. The rising superstars locked up last week in a Triple Threat Match with Intercontinental Championship implications, but the heat between the two has continued as Ilja Dragunov got the win.
The Red Bull will receive one more crack at the young Mysterio on Monday Night RAW. WWE has just confirmed Lee vs. Mysterio for a singles match for tomorrow night's special premiere episode on the USA Network.
"Will @dragonlee95 shut @DomMysterio35 up tomorrow night on #WWERaw?," WWE wrote with the match graphic below.
The official RAW announcement questioned whether Dragon Lee would be able to shut Dominik up the following night, and the LWO member had a bold response.
"Yes, I'll do it," Dragon Lee wrote.
RAW will mark the fourth singles bout between Lee and Dom. Their first-ever saw Mysterio retain the NXT North American Championship in August 2023. He also retained in their rematch on the red brand almost two months later, but Lee finally captured the title in December at NXT Deadline.
WWE RAW season premiere lineup
World Wrestling Entertainment's RAW season premiere will air live from the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on Monday. The road to Bad Blood will also heat up now that we're less than a month away.
The only segment announced for RAW is the return of Bret Hart in his hometown. The following matches have been announced:
- Dragon Lee vs. Dominik Mysterio
- American Made vs. The Wyatt Sicks in an Eight-Person Mixed Street Fight
- Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair defend the Women's Tag Team Championship against Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn
- Jey Uso vs. Braun Strowman vs. Ilja Dragunov vs. Pete Dunne to determine the next challenger to Intercontinental Champion, Bron Breakker
Several top superstars are also advertised to appear, but CM Punk will likely be held off to sell last week's attack by Drew McIntyre. The others listed to appear are McIntyre, Gunther, Liv Morgan, Dominik Mysterio, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, Lyra Valkria, and The Miz.
