Dominik Mysterio is on his way to the top of WWE. Eddie Guerrero tragically left the world while a top star of the sport, with a career of accolades and championship reigns to look back on. Latino Heat unexpectedly passed away on November 13, 2005, at the age of thirty-eight. Eddie had battled and teamed with Rey Mysterio for years and participated in a somewhat controversial WWE storyline with Rey's family, including the child we all now know as Dirty Dom of The Judgment Day. Guerrero left a unique legacy and a lasting impact on fans and others in the business, especially Rey Jr. and his son, who, although not related by blood, was like a nephew to Uncle Eddie.
Mysterio recently appeared on No-Contest Wrestling and opened up on his immediate reaction to Eddie's death and how it impacted him as a wrestling fan. The 27-year-old revealed how Eddie's influence has impacted his career now that he's a WWE Superstar.
"Then now as an adult being in the business, it kind of sucks even more. Cause not only did I know him as a person and I got to be in the ring with him but I get to appreciate his work so much more now. Because it’s just... I’m living through it, trying to honor it. Looking at his matches and seeing how good he was, it just really... it makes me appreciate so much more the time I did get to spend with him," Dominik Mysterio said. [H/T to SEScoops]
