Dominik Mysterio smiles as he directly impacts the outcome of the Women's World Title match at SummerSlam 2024

It officially happened and as expected, Dominik Mysterio played a direct hand in the outcome of the Women's World Championship match at SummerSlam tonight. In a huge twist, he smiled and revealed his true intentions.

Rhea Ripley got a massive pop to open SummerSlam as she walked out with "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio. At one point in the match, Dominik directly took a suicide dive from Liv Morgan, shielding Mami from the line of fire. That seemed to quash any doubts about where his loyalties lay.

If that quashed it, the finish directly re-opened and confirmed those doubts. At first, he didn't allow Rhea Ripley to use a steel chair, but it seemed clear he only did that because she couldn't become Women's World Champion if she used the chair. However, he slid the same steel chair later and distracted the referee, leading to Liv Morgan's win. After the match, his smile confirmed everything.

Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan would go on to kiss, leaving Rhea Ripley heartbroken and everybody shocked. There had been speculation for months that Dominik and Liv could have been in cahoots.

Liv Morgan had retained the SmackDown Women's Championship against Ronda Rousey at SummerSlam a few years ago. She came full circle tonight by becoming the first person to pin Rhea Ripley in 26 months. The last person to do it was also her.

The fallout of this betrayal will be immense and is sure to send shockwaves through The Judgment Day.
