Drew McIntyre defeated by long-time rival for the 8th time after SmackDown went off the air

Drew McIntyre wrestled after SmackDown went off the air on September 20, and it was quite an eventful match. Not only did he fake an injury, but he lost to a long-time rival for the eighth time.

The first dark match of the night after the SmackDown main event was Women's World Champion Liv Morgan successfully defending her title against Lyra Valkyria. "Main Event" Jey Uso went out to get the crowd hyped one last time before going home.

The long-time rival of Drew McIntyre would end up defeating him for the eighth time in their fifteenth match against each other. Cagematch.net shows the 14 previous bouts, with McIntyre picking up a good chunk of the wins and Jey getting some DQ wins. However, it has recently been featured in live events and the dark match circuit.

This was Jey's eighth big win against McIntyre.

A scary moment in the match saw Drew McIntyre fake an injury, which many people believed was legitimate for a moment.

For "Main Event" Jey Uso, it's a huge win as he looks to secure his first-ever singles gold against Bron Breakker on RAW in a few days.
