Drew McIntyre discloses dreadful distress regarding wife ahead of WWE Clash at the Castle: Scotland

Drew McIntyre is in Scotland for his big match this weekend at WWE Clash at the Castle: Scotland Premium Live Event. In his own words, the Scotsman is looking to rectify the injustice that happened to him in the main event of the event's first edition in 2022. Unfortunately, his wife will not be present at the OVO Hydro arena where the show is set to emanate on June 15.

During the Kickoff show, McIntyre disclosed to WWE commentator Michael Cole that he could not stop thinking about his wife Kaitlyn Frohnapfel, who was undergoing emergency surgery.

One thing however, Kaitlyn had asked from her husband was to bring home the World Heavyweight Championship. The current champion Damian Priest stole the belt from McIntyre at WrestleMania in April by cashing in his Money in the Bank contract. Henceforth, the upcoming match seems like a do-or-die situation for the challenger.

"I wasn't going to talk about it. But I can't stop thinking about it. The one person who is not going to be there is my wife," Drew told Michael Cole during the Kickoff show. "[She] is in surgery right now. Emergency surgery. She told me, 'I want you to go there and bring that title home,' and I'm going to bring that title home!"

The Scottish Warrior undoubtedly would be the favorite of the masses in Glasgow, Scotland. As for Damian Priest, any possibility for The Judgment Day's shenanigans went out the window this week on WWE RAW when McIntyre pinned Finn Bálor. Their match had a prior stipulation that if The Prince lost, all of the faction members would be banned from ringside for the title match.

Drew McIntyre will headline WWE's first PLE in Scotland

For WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre, Clash at the Castle: Scotland is arguably his biggest moment yet as he will be headlining the show against World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest in his home country.

Moreover, the premium live event is WWE's first in Scotland. McIntyre recently responded to an interviewer about his future in the wrestling business ten years down the line. He said he saw himself as an integral part of the business although he wasn't sure if he was going to remain a full-time wrestler for that long.

Ahead of the show, Drew McIntyre was inducted into the Scottish Wrestling Hall of Fame. It appears the only thing left for The Scottish Warrior is to dethrone Priest and take home the World Heavyweight Championship. Clash at the Castle: Scotland is scheduled to air live at 6:30 PM in Scotland (GMT) which is 1:30 PM in United States Pacific Time; and 11:30 PM Indian Standard Time.
