Drew McIntyre fires shot at WWE official in hilarious fashion ahead of SmackDown

Drew McIntyre has taken a hilarious shot at a WWE official on social media ahead of tonight's edition of SmackDown. CM Punk cost the veteran his Money in the Bank cash-in attempt earlier this month.

McIntyre was furious after Punk's interference at Money in the Bank and caught Adam Pearce with an elbow to the face. The RAW GM suspended McIntyre indefinitely but gave him the chance to be reinstated if he apologized to the referees he put his hands on at Money in the Bank. The Scottish Warrior refused to do so, and Pearce didn't lift his suspension.

The 39-year-old took to Instagram today to mock Pearce for keeping his suspension intact and hilariously claimed that he was going to use the time off to get his cat in shape.

"Going to use my time off to get Fat Toby into shape," he wrote.

CM Punk has not competed in a match since suffering a torn triceps in the Men's Royal Rumble match in January. However, he has kept his rivalry with McIntyre alive during his recovery and is scheduled to appear on next Monday's edition of WWE RAW.

Former WWE writer has wild suggestion for Drew McIntyre

Wrestling veteran Vince Russo believes Drew McIntyre should try to kidnap CM Punk's dog Larry as a part of their storyline on WWE television.

Speaking on a recent edition of Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws show, Russo pitched an interesting idea for the rivalry between Punk and McIntyre. He suggested the former World Heavyweight Champion kidnap the Second City Saint's dog and hold him hostage.

"Bro, I swear to God, if I'm writing that television, Drew's kidnapping the dog. He's holding the dog hostage. He's feeding the dog bad food like ice cream and all kinds. Bro, I am doing that in a heartbeat. Tomorrow, I am doing that, bro." [11:13 – 11:33]

Drew McIntyre unleashed a brutal attack on CM Punk last month on WWE SmackDown after pretending to quit the company. It will be interesting to see if the veteran makes an appearance next Monday night on RAW despite his suspension.
