Drew McIntyre was humiliated by WWE on Monday Night RAW, as per veteran (Exclusive)
WWE RAW superstar Drew McIntyre has been on a mission to become the company's top star. However, his plans have regularly been foiled by CM Punk. After costing McIntyre a freshly captured title at WrestleMania, Punk has cost the Scottish star opportunities to recapture the title at Clash of the Castle and Money in the Bank. The latest development in this storyline however has upset former head writer Vince Russo.
A suspended Scottish Psychopath was invited to the show by GM Adam Pearce who gave McIntyre the chance to get the much-wanted match with Punk that he desired. His one condition however was for him to apologize to the referees Drew had attacked. Drew however felt humiliated by the request and ended up attacking them instead.
Reviewing the segment on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion on RAW, Vince Russo was critical of the segment. He felt the Scotsman not saying sorry made him look like a babyface. He was also upset with the star staying suspended and called Pearce the heel in the story. You can read his comments and watch the entire podcast below.
"It's literally humiliating the guy. Pearce is the heel, like Pearce ain't the babyface. I mean Drew did exactly what anyone would have done. You're not gonna come out here and embarass me and humiliate me. You wanna have this conversation, we have this conversation in the back. We're not gonna do this infront of all these people." With McIntyre and Punk expected to clash at SummerSlam, it'll be interesting how the company sets up the match.
