Drew McIntyre lashes out at WWE following RAW incident with Adam Pearce
WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre has been a raging ball of fire on the promotion. The Scottish Psychopath has never shied away from taking the fight to the system whenever he feels wronged. However, the system has now seemingly started to fight back and McIntyre doesn’t seem too happy with it.
The official X handle of WWE added a new tweet on X to advertise the ticket sales for next week’s Monday Night RAW. Interestingly, the Stamford-based promotion used an image of CM Punk hitting Drew McIntyre with a steel chair to promote the sales and Punk's appearance. This angered The Chosen One, who retaliated with a tweet on X.
“Are you pricks seriously gonna use this picture after what just happened?” wrote McIntyre.
Just a few moments earlier, McIntyre had refused to apologize to the referees he had previously attacked. Moreover, he had also screamed at Adam Pearce for enabling CM Punk’s unruly behavior of interfering with key matches. While he almost laid hands on the RAW General Manager, The Architect Seth Rollins prevented that from happening.
Now, WWE has decided to show its teeth to The Scottish Warrior after his disrespectful behavior while keeping him suspended. But, while it is unlikely that this will make him apologize, there are still two ways he can earn a match at SummerSlam.
How can Drew McIntyre fight at SummerSlam?
Drew McIntyre may have been chained via restrictions, but The Scottish Warrior is known for eventually getting his way. Without apologizing, he may launch sneak attacks on both CM Punk and Seth Rollins and try to provoke them into forcing Adam Pearce into a SummerSlam match. While this is an extreme method, he knows that once he earns a match, he also wins it, as evident with MITB and the Elimination Chamber.
The next tactic could be a passive one where CM Punk recovers from his injury and demands a SummerSlam match. But, this would make him dependent on Punk, something that would hurt his pride. Thus, there is a chance that he could actually apologize to Pearce and WWE referees instead of using Punk as a crutch. It would be interesting to see how he makes a comeback after getting in more trouble with the management.
