Drew McIntyre provides update on in-ring future ahead of WWE SmackDown
WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre seemingly has plans for his future well in advance, as The Scottish Warrior recently spoke about where he sees himself in the coming ten years as a performer.
Earlier this year, Drew McIntyre signed a new deal with WWE after the two-night extravaganza in Philadelphia. Sadly, McIntyre couldn't leave the event with the World Heavyweight Championship. However, the 39-year-old star has much to look forward to heading into Scotland for Clash at the Castle 2024.
During an appearance on Gorilla Position, while promoting Clash at the Castle 2024, the host asked McIntyre where he sees himself in ten years. The Scottish Warrior had an interesting answer and stated that he doesn't see himself as a full-time performer.
"Hopefully, I'll still be wrestling. I mean, not full-time. A couple of mates are like 7-9 years older than me and they're still going strong and they're actually full-time... I just can't imagine not being involved in this industry in WWE in some capacity. Where we'll be, we'll see. What we'll be is happy. I know that," McIntyre said. [From 04:24 to 04:47]

The 39-year-old star would love to be involved in the industry, but a full-time run might not be on the cards for The Scottish Warrior. Only time will tell, as McIntyre currently aims to dethrone Damian Priest at the event in Glasgow.
Drew McIntyre fires shots at CM Punk ahead of WWE Clash at the Castle 2024
Earlier this year, Drew McIntyre started a heated rivalry with CM Punk after The Second City Saint got injured at the annual Royal Rumble event. Later, Punk became a factor in McIntyre's loss at WrestleMania XL as the injured star attacked the newly-crowned champion before a cash-in.
The two stars have cut promos inside the square circle and on social media for a while. During an appearance on Title Sports Network, McIntyre fired another shot at The Second City Saint and believes he doesn't deserve to be in the Stamford-based promotion.
Moreover, he suggested that the star should become an ambassador for WWE instead of competing inside the ring. It will be interesting to see if The Scottish Warrior can leave Scotland with the World Heavyweight Championship.
