Seth Rollins' involvement in the CM Punk and Drew McIntyre feud made no sense, according to Vince Russo

CM Punk and Drew McIntyre finally got their hands on each other at WWE SummerSlam, with Seth Rollins as the special guest referee. During the match, Punk hit Rollins with a GTS before eventually losing the match.

The next night on RAW, Rollins came out to confront Punk but was taken out by Bronson Reed. It was later announced that The Visionary suffered an injury and would be out of action for a while.

Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, Vince Russo questioned WWE's decision to involve Seth Rollins in the storyline between Punk and McIntyre.

"They knew Rollins was banged up, so why involve him in that bro?" [49:24 onwards]

It will be interesting to see what happens next in this storyline between CM Punk and McIntyre and whether The Scottish Warrior will have another match against Punk or not.
