Drew McIntyre's fierce enemy helping him dethrone Damian Priest would be excellent, says ex-WWE host

Drew McIntyre will square off against Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Clash at the Castle. A former WWE host recently addressed the possibility of seeing The Scottish Warrior's fierce enemy interfering in the match to help him dethrone The Judgment Day member.

On a recent episode of his The Wrestling Matt Show podcast, former RAW Talk host Matt Camp received a suggestion from a fan regarding the World Heavyweight Championship match. The fan proposed that should CM Punk interfere to help McIntyre overcome Priest and The Judgment Day to take credit for The Scottish Warrior winning the championship and "mess with him further."

Camp liked the suggestion, proposing that The Best in the World could even help McIntyre without The Judgment Day getting involved in the match:

"I love that, Matthew. Excellent. Excellent. Obviously, Judgment Day can't get involved but that is interesting. Or if he helps him at all? He wakes up the ref. Whatever it may be, 'You needed me. You had your moment at home and you still needed me to make that moment.' I like that," he said. [From 24:16 to 24:42]

Drew McIntyre slammed CM Punk for hurting him earlier in his WWE career

In a recent interview with The Indian Express, Drew McIntyre addressed his rivalry with CM Punk, claiming that the 45-year-old is a "genuinely horrible person" who had hurt him personally and professionally earlier in his WWE career.

The Scottish Warrior stated that he could not stand Punk, pointing out that he might reveal more details about his history with the Chicago native:

"I can't stand him. We have history that people just do not know about yet. And maybe I go into details down the line. But he hurt me when I was younger, personally and professionally, and he's a genuinely terrible person. If you just take five minutes to do the research online, you'll see he's always been a terrible person, even really recently. Like, I'm not lying," he said.

Punk has been out of action since January after suffering a triceps injury at the Royal Rumble. It would be interesting to see if The Best in the World would play a role at Clash at the Castle.
