Drew McIntyre's possible role at WrestleMania 41 revealed by WWE personality

Drew McIntyre made his return to WWE last week on RAW after being away since Bad Blood in October. He hit Sami Zayn with a devastating Claymore after the main event to close out the show.

The Scottish Warrior is also speculated to be the mystery attacker of Jey Uso, who was left lying backstage earlier in the show, despite there being no discernable proof yet. WWE analyst Sam Roberts predicted that perhaps the company will put ever-reliant Drew McIntyre as Main Event Jey's WrestleMania opponent in April 2025.

On his Notsam Wrestling podcast, Roberts explained why he felt this could be the direction for both superstars. In 2024, Jey Uso rose through the ranks as a singles competitor, falling just shy of becoming the World Heavyweight Champion. He is one of the most over babyfaces in the company presently. On the contrary, The Scottish Warrior is a despised heel, who is coming off the hottest rivalry of the year. The analyst noted that WWE may want to test Uso's capability of being a legitimate main-event star.

"When you look at Survivor Series: WarGames, and the whole Bloodline being there, with CM Punk, I'm talking about some of the biggest stars in the industry. Who is the guy that got his own entrance through the crowd? Who was the last name that was introduced when the OG Bloodline won the match?" he said.

Roberts further pointed to the enormous merchandise sales WWE has managed thanks to Mr. Main Event. He felt that the ever-dependable McIntyre was the best heel to test Uso.

"I think the idea might be that Sami Zayn takes us on a road that will get to one of the biggest villains in WWE, Drew McIntyre, versus one of the biggest heroes, one of the biggest good guys, one of the biggest babyfaces, Jey Uso. You talk about a test for Jey Uso as a main event good guy. Who is a better test than to have this rivalry with Drew McIntyre?" he added. [From 29:16 to 31:00]

McIntyre and Uso have major history in WWE, dating back to when the Scot was feuding with The Bloodline's former leader, Roman Reigns.

Drew McIntyre will address the WWE Universe on RAW

WWE has promoted the upcoming episode of RAW as the official return of Drew McIntyre. It is highly unlikely for the company to revisit his months-long rivalry with CM Punk at this point.

Evidently, The Best in the World has moved on, signaling WrestleMania 41 as his destination already. So what will the Scot do next?

Drew McIntyre won the World Heavyweight Championship on The Grandest Stage Of Them All this year. However, his reign lasted only a few minutes, thanks to Damian Priest's MITB cash-in.

With so many accolades under his belt, McIntyre appears to be an ideal opponent for Jey Uso. The question is: should the bout happen, will Mr. Main Event give the Scot a run for his money when the lights shine bright? Only time will tell.
