Drew McIntyre's situation on WWE RAW gets a lot worse; he may not recover from this with CM Punk
Drew McIntyre has wanted to get his hands on CM Punk for some time, but now he's in more trouble than he thought. He may have just cost himself the biggest opportunity that he was going to get.
On RAW tonight, Adam Pearce offered him a chance to face CM Punk at SummerSlam but set a condition. This comes after months of the feud between the two stars getting heated, with Punk costing him several times. Unfortunately, McIntyre took his anger out on the wrong people and ended up suspended after Money in the Bank.
Drew McIntyre had the chance to get everything he wanted, as Adam Pearce was ready to give him the CM Punk match at WWE SummerSlam, but he set him a condition—he had to apologize to the two referees that he had disrespected.
"Look them in the eyes, and acknowledge they got hurt."
McIntyre walked up to them, and it looked like he would apologize, but he said, "No." He said that he had been wronged by the referees when CM Punk interfered. He also went on to add that it was Adam Pearce's fault and that he had deserved the elbow he got at Money in the Bank after he lost out on his opportunity to become champion, thanks to Punk.
Pearce was not having it and said that if Drew would not apologize, then he would not be getting the chance to do a single thing he wanted. He said that McIntyre was still suspended. He pushed the two referees down and was about to attack Adam Pearce when Seth Rollins came out, and the two brawled.
Drew McIntyre will have to do what he does not want if he wants CM Punk
McIntyre feels that he is justified in his actions, but since he's not the one making the matches, he will need to do what Adam Pearce wants.
At this time, it seems that Drew McIntyre is not getting the CM Punk match unless he can humble himself enough to apologize to the people he hurt. Fans will have to wait to see what happens with them.
