Drew McIntyre sends five-word message to Adam Pearce following suspension on WWE RAW

WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre has faced defeat in recent times at the hands of "Main Event" Jey Uso and Damian Priest. Many times in the case of his matches with the latter over the World Heavyweight Championship.

It comes down to one man who is to blame according to McIntyre, and he is CM Punk. But RAW General Manager Adam Pearce appears to not care as much about what The Straight Edge Superstar does than how The Scottish Warrior reacts to it.

Adam Pearce suspended Drew McIntyre last week, only to reinstate him this week at the request of CM Punk. However, Pearce reinforced the suspension after McIntyre refused to apologize to the referees for laying his hands on them.

Taking to X, the Scotsman took a dig at Pearce's role as the authority of Monday Night RAW. He asked the 46-year-old to be more competent, pointing to a brief moment during their segment where it appeared the two were about to fight:

"Be a competent GM today," McIntyre wrote.

Taking to Instagram the other day, Pearce boasted about being in the industry longer than what people know, looking back to his days as an in-ring competitor. It is unclear where this storyline is heading, considering The Best in the World's in-ring return at SummerSlam is still up in the air.

Drew McIntyre on whether he will still be wrestling for WWE in ten years time

Perhaps the biggest moment in Drew McIntyre's run this year, aside from his WrestleMania win over World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, was his homecoming in Glasgow, Scotland on June 15. Both of these moments were marred by controversy with the involvement of Damian Priest and CM Punk.

Ahead of Clash at the Castle 2024 in Scotland, McIntyre did an interview for Gorilla Position, in which the host asked him where the former WWE Champion sees himself in ten years. The Scottish Warrior responded with this:

"Hopefully, I'll still be wrestling. I mean, not full-time. A couple of mates are like 7-9 years older than me and they're still going strong and they're actually full-time... I just can't imagine not being involved in this industry in WWE in some capacity. Where we'll be, we'll see. What we'll be is happy. I know that," McIntyre said.

This week on RAW, the Scotsman echoed the sentiment of the WWE Universe regarding a first-time-ever matchup between him and CM Punk. However, on account of the latter not being cleared, creative has not disclosed the company's plans for SummerSlam just yet.
