Drew McIntyre takes hilarious shot at Damian Priest following WWE RAW

Drew McIntyre has hilariously mocked World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest following their confrontation last night on WWE RAW. The Scottish Warrior is set to challenge The Archer of Infamy for the title on June 15 at Clash at the Castle in Glasgow, Scotland.

Damian Priest confronted Gunther last night on WWE RAW as The Ring General has earned a shot at the title at SummerSlam in August. Drew McIntyre joined the party and claimed that he would be winning the title next month.

Following last night's promo, McIntyre shared a video of Jack Swagger, now known as Jake Hager in AEW, cutting a forgettable promo. The veteran claimed that it was what Priest sounded like ever since he won the title and Rhea Ripley went down with an injury.

Drew McIntyre was supposed to compete in this year's King of the Ring Tournament but was pulled due to injury. He has taken credit for CM Punk's torn triceps suffered during the Men's Royal Rumble in January.

However, Punk got his revenge by costing McIntyre the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE WrestleMania XL. The Scotsman won the title but lost it five minutes later after the former AEW star attacked him ringside. Damian Priest seized the opportunity to cash in his Money in the Bank contract to become champion at The Show of Shows.

Vince Russo criticizes Drew McIntyre for not attacking Damian Priest on WWE RAW

Former WWE writer Vince Russo believes Drew McIntyre missed an opportunity to get some heat from the crowd on a recent edition of the red brand.

Speaking on Sportskeeda's Legion of RAW show earlier this month, Russo questioned why McIntyre didn't attack the World Heavyweight Champion during a recent promo. He suggested the company is slowly turning Priest babyface and missed a chance to get WWE fans invested.

"Obviously, in the first segment, we are trying to set up slowly but surely Damian Priest as a babyface. Because now he came out opposite Drew, and now it's kind of him against Judgment Day. Again, you had an opportunity for Drew to get heat on Damian Priest when he left the ring, but no, what did we have, bro? We have an in-ring promo that has ended the same exact way for the last six months, with a mic drop. Every single one of them ends with a mic drop. So you had an opportunity to get heat at the beginning, you had the opportunity to get heat at the end, and gues what? You got no heat," said Russo.

CM Punk has teased that he could show up at WWE Clash at the Castle next month. Only time will tell if McIntyre can capture the World Heavyweight Championship once again at the premium live event.
