Drew McIntyre takes shot at major WWE star following RAW
Drew McIntyre has taken a shot at a major WWE Superstar following this past Monday's edition of RAW. The veteran will be competing in a marquee match at SummerSlam next month.
WWE RAW General Manager Adam Pearce lifted Drew McIntyre's suspension this past Monday night and announced that he will be in action at the premium live event on August 3. The Scottish Warrior will be squaring off against CM Punk with Seth Rollins serving as the special guest referee. McIntyre took to social media today to poke fun at Punk ahead of their match next month.
He recently promoted his upcoming film The Killer's Game and responded to a fan who noted he wasn't on the poster for the film. The fan pointed out that CM Punk was on the poster for Girl on the Third Floor and McIntyre humorously responded by claiming nobody saw the movie.
"I promise you no one ever saw this movie," he wrote.
CM Punk has cost Drew McIntyre several chances to become World Heavyweight Champion. McIntyre won the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match earlier this month and attempted to cash in on the same night. However, Punk attacked him and Damian Priest was able to retain his title.
Vince Russo believes WWE star will get involved in Drew McIntyre's match at Summerslam
Former WWE writer Vince Russo believes Seth Rollins will get involved in the match between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk at SummerSlam.
Seth Rollins will be serving as the special guest referee for the grudge match at SummerSlam, but Russo believes he will attack CM Punk during the match. Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW show, the veteran predicted Rollins would cost Punk the match to reignite their rivalry.
"I think Seth is gonna scr*w CM Punk and that’s how…[we get Rollins vs. Punk]. But what are we gonna do with the singalong then? How are we not gonna have the singalong if Seth is a heel?" [From 48:09 onwards]

Drew McIntyre is in possession of a bracelet with CM Punk's wife (AJ Lee) and his dog's name on it. He stole the bracelet after brutally attacking the former AEW Champion on the June 21 edition of SmackDown. It will be fascinating to see which WWE Superstar emerges victorious when they finally square off at SummerSlam.
