Drew McIntyre taps out at Bash in Berlin after CM Punk uses 67-year-old legend's finisher
Drew McIntyre and CM Punk's match at Bash in Berlin 2024 was a certified classic. It was another masterclass in storytelling, and Punk used his idol's move to make the Scotsman tap out.
The war between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk had its second chapter written and it will go down in the books as one of the matches of the year in 2024. The hatred poured into the match in a big way, with the two men more intent on hurting each other than touching the four corners to win the match. It was a brilliant use of the Strap Match stipulation.
In an epic moment in the match, CM Punk used the 67-year-old legend Bret Hart's sharpshooter to make Drew McIntyre tap out. Of course, it didn't count as the only way to win the match was to touch all four corners. Still, it was an incredible moment.

The aftermath of the sharpshooter was equally enticing. McIntyre ended up standing up and getting the upper hand, nearly winning the match. Ultimately, Punk hit one GTS after the next in succession.
After he did that, he took the bracelet with his wife AJ Lee, and dog Larry's name on it, a symbol of the rivalry and how personal it has been.
Punk would hit all four corners to tie the score in their rivalry 1-1. The story will possibly continue on RAW.
