EC3 praises "soft-spoken" former US Champion following stunning WWE release (Exclusive)
Former WWE Superstar EC3 was full of praise for a star who was recently released by the Stamford-based promotion. He had a lot to say about the former United States Champion.
On the latest edition of The Wrestling Outlaws, host Dr. Chris Featherstone brought up the topic of former US Champion Baron Corbin's WWE release last month. Former WWE writer Vince Russo said that the erstwhile Lone Wolf had money written all over him and that he was underutilized, a sentiment that many in the wrestling world seem to share.
EC3 told Dr. Chris Featherstone and Vince Russo about his experiences with Baron Corbin and praised the 40-year-old's humility and approach towards wrestling despite the lack of experience initially.
"Baron [Corbin] came in through the [WWE] system with no wrestling experience and was always one of the cooler, soft-spoken meat advocates. He's a good dude. One thing I really liked and respected about him is that he understood the difference between reality and business, where he knew what was necessary and would do it to the best of his abilities. He never had an ego; he got it and did extremely well," he said. [0:51-1:26]
EC3 then expressed his desire to see what Baron Corbin could do in a less-controlled environment outside of WWE. He sent his best wishes to the two other stars released in the same period, Tegan Nox and Indi Hartwell.
The 41-year-old added:
"A guy like him and some of the others I met through this only had WWE experience from the day they were signed until, you know, their entire tenure in WWE. So sometimes they never went outside the box and had fun or did shows and had no leash or control. So I'm intrigued if that's something he'd want to do. Tegan [Nox], I knew briefly, but not too much familiarity. But I'm sure promising, special, fine people who will find what they're looking for." [1:37-2:25]

EC3 believes one Wyatt Sicks member will have a better WWE run this time
The Wyatt Sicks don't appear every week, but the creative team is doing its best to make sure that when the faction appears, it's a big deal.
Meanwhile, in a recent episode of The Wrestling Outlaws, EC3 said that Triple H understood Erick Rowan better than Vince McMahon ever could, leading the 41-year-old to conclude that the Wyatt Sicks member would have a better second run with the Stamford-based company.
"I would say briefly, based on the fact that Vince [McMahon] isn't in charge, maybe somebody sees something different or allows something else to happen or allows him to be him. I think Triple H has a better understanding of Erick than Vince ever would have. Then, maybe, he will have that confidence. And hopefully, he is not so, I don't know, PTSDed from the last run that he is afraid to do what he can do," he said. [10:14 onwards]
Erick Rowan will be in action on next week's edition of Monday Night RAW, with the Wyatt Sicks set to face The Final Testament and The Miz in an eight-man tag team match.
