Eric Bischoff says ex-WWE star is "a legend in his own mind" and never achieved anything

Eric Bischoff was instrumental in World Championship Wrestling's success in the 1990s before appearing in WWE as an on-screen character in the 2000s. In a recent interview, the former WCW President gave his honest opinion on Lance Storm's contributions to the wrestling business.

Storm wrestled for ECW between 1997 and 2000 before having a short run with WCW. The Canadian also worked for WWE between 2001 and 2005. During that time, he was part of the WCW/ECW Alliance faction before joining forces with Christian, Test, and William Regal as The Un-Americans.

Speaking to James Romero of WSI, Bischoff claimed Storm never achieved anything of note as a wrestler. He also took a dig at the former WWE star for having opinionated views:

"A legend in his own mind," Bischoff said. "I mean, probably a nice guy. I've been around him a little bit, but he never really accomplished anything. He's a very opinionated person that doesn't have any accomplishments other than having been in the business for a period of time." [10:16 – 10:37]

Storm won several titles in WCW, including the United States Championship three times. In WWE, he held the Intercontinental Championship once and the tag titles four times.

Eric Bischoff on Lance Storm's wrestling knowledge

After leaving WWE in 2005, Lance Storm opened a wrestling school in Calgary. He trained several high-profile wrestlers, including Chelsea Green, Dominik Mysterio, Tenille Dashwood, and Tyler Breeze.

Eric Bischoff added that Storm is probably a better wrestling trainer than he was an in-ring performer:

"Nothing against him. Like I said, I'm sure he's a nice guy and he probably has a perspective on how to train wrestlers because that's really what he's spent the majority of his career doing. But his time in front of the camera, whether it was WCW or WWE, was, I don't know, not notable." [10:37 – 10:56]

Storm currently works for TNA as a producer. He briefly returned to WWE in 2019 as an agent before being let go during the COVID-19 pandemic.
