Eric Bischoff says this WWE star "has no fear" and does the needful with regard to character
Eric Bischoff will be on the list of WWE's most notorious characters. With that being put out there, Bischoff praised a certain wrestler on the roster today who has become notorious for his heel work.
Despite starting off his career as green as ever, and a babyface, Dominik Mysterio, eventually turned on his father and joined The Judgment Day. His character work ever since has been nothing short of stellar.
Bischoff spoke about the young star on his podcast 83 Weeks, pointing to how the young Mysterio enjoys being a heel. The veteran also feels that the former NXT North American Champion " has no fear" and that he does not really worry too much about the task at hand, and is always ready to do the needful for his character development.
"[Dominik Mysterio] just loves being a heel. He has no fear, he'll — and I don't mean, you know, doing things in the ring, but I mean as a character. He's apparently — I've never worked with him obviously — but he just doesn't appear to have any fear. He's willing to do what he needs to do to get the character over," he said. [H/T: Wrestling Inc.]
Dominik Mysterio became an even bigger heel than he already was at SummerSlam 2024 when he turned on Rhea Ripley. Although not competing at the upcoming WWE PLE, Bad Blood, he will be in Women's World Champion, Liv Morgan's corner as the latter defends her strap against Mami.
Is Dominik Mysterio ready to become World Heavyweight Champion as WWE RAW moves to Netflix?
Former Royal Rumble and Money in the Bank winner, and two-time WWE Champion, Alberto Del Rio, recently did an exclusive interview for Sportskeeda Wrestling. The former WWE Superstar touched upon a bevy of topics, including a rather controversial one. He could picture Dominik Mysterio as the World Heavyweight Champion as early as 2025.
Del Rio feels that the rising stalwart has earned it and the fact that Mysterio is able to generate nuclear heat unlike any other star on the roster puts him in a great spot as a top heel.
"I'm telling you this, Dominik is gonna be a world champion pretty soon, probably at the beginning of next year," said Del Rio.
At Bash in Berlin on August 31, Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest defeated Dirty Dom and Liv Morgan in a Mixed Tag Team Match. It bears watching who will come out on top at Bad Blood in the fight for the Women's World Championship.
