Ex-SmackDown star has no plans for an in-ring return; he last wrestled for WWE almost 19 years ago
WWE is gearing up for "The Biggest Party of The Summer" in Ohio after Money in the Bank in Canada. Meanwhile, former SmackDown star Muhammad Hassan addressed his in-ring future after remaining inactive for quite some time.
In July 2005, Muhammad Hassan had his last televised appearance for WWE as he went up against The Undertaker. The star was set to achieve much more in the promotion, as Vince McMahon was behind Hassan's push. However, it all changed due to a tragic incident, and Muhammad Hassan was written off at The Great American Bash.
In 2018, Muhammad Hassan returned for three matches after over a decade of inactivity, where he also captured the Dynasty Heavyweight Championship. In an interview on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, the 44-year-old star stated he has no plans to return to the square circle after his last run on the independent circuit.
"Absolutely not. I don't want to travel, I don't want to put my body through [that]. It's been rough enough as it is getting old. Like I said, absolutely not, never. I just wanted to have a couple of matches. There are small local shows and local promoters, nice guys. So it was just something to do. I did I think two or three matches, and that was it. I'll never do it again," Hassan said. [H/T - Chris Van Vliet]

Muhammad Hassan was set to defeat two major WWE stars before premature retirement
Almost two decades ago, WWE SmackDown was dominated by major stars such as Batista, Edge, and The Undertaker. However, the management often inserted new stars into the mix with industry veterans.
One such star was Muhammad Hassan, who immediately drew heat due to his character. The rising star was backed by the management, especially Vince McMahon.
In the same interview with Chris Van Vliet, Hassan addressed his scrapped plans on SmackDown. The 44-year-star stated he was set to defeat The Undertaker and Batista in the coming months.
Unfortunately, tragic events in London gravely affected Muhammad Hassan's push in the Stamford-based promotion. The star was eventually written off and released from WWE after his match against The Undertaker.
