Ex-Universal Champion to turn heel immediately after Roman Reigns' SummerSlam return, says WWE analyst
WWE analyst Sam Roberts thinks a former Universal Champion may be forced to turn heel if Roman Reigns returns to align himself with Cody Rhodes. That would be none other than Kevin Owens, who's once again out of action due to The Bloodline's attack.
Cody Rhodes will put his Undisputed WWE Championship on the line when he faces Solo Sikoa in the main event of SummerSlam on August 3. The Bloodline has taken out everyone who has stood in its path, including The Viper and The Prizefighter.
The American Nightmare is now all alone in his feud against Bloodline heading into The Biggest Party of the Summer. Rumor has it that Roman Reigns will make his highly anticipated return in Cleveland.
On the Notsam Wrestling podcast, Sam Roberts recently said Kevin Owens could undergo a character change if Cody Rhodes sought Roman Reigns' help at SummerSlam.
"Why would you turn Kevin Owens heel? Because Kevin Owens goes out protecting Cody Rhodes, and before Kevin Owens has the opportunity to come back to television. What does Cody Rhodes do? Hypothetically, at SummerSlam, accept help from [Roman] Reigns. Who would you say of all of Roman Reigns' opponents has a true hatred and disdain for him to this day? More than anyone else, it's Kevin Owens. Nobody has hated [Roman] Reigns the way Kevin Owens has and continues to hate [Roman] Reigns because of how Kevin Owens was treated in his various rivalries," Roberts said.
The wrestling analyst explained why Kevin Owens would be an ideal challenger for Cody Rhodes later this year.
"So when [Roman] Reigns returns as a babyface (...) the move is for Kevin Owens to go like, 'Hey, I told you I had your back. You let this happen to me, and then you take my worst enemy, and you team with him, and you pat him on the back after everything he did to all of us. You're co-signing him. You know what kind of power you have Cody? (...) No! I'm going to take that away from you. I'm going to take that power away from you. I'm going to take that positioning away from you. I'm going to take the WWE Championship away from you.' Now we tell a story throughout the fall between Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes," Roberts added. (23:42 - 25:48)

Roman Reigns makes a big revelation about Paul Heyman
Speaking on the latest episode of A&E Biography: WWE Legends focused on Paul Heyman's career, Roman Reigns revealed that he had to steal The Wiseman from Brock Lesnar after the success the duo had at that time.
"Watching how Paul and Brock were maneuvering at the time, it was a powerful duo, it really was. So much so, I had to snatch it."
Heyman is currently off WWE TV, courtesy of Solo Sikoa and his men. It will be interesting to see if the Special Counsel will return alongside Roman Reigns at SummerSlam this year.
