Ex-WWE champion announces he's leaving the company and never going back: "I'm not ready to retire yet"

A star has announced that he's leaving WWE once and for all and that he is not going to return. He went on to say, however, that he would not retire just yet, while also sharing what was next.

The star has been in the news recently because of reports surrounding his contract. It seemed that he was leaving the company, along with his former client, Bobby Lashley. Multiple such reports surrounding MVP have emerged over the past few weeks.

MVP is done with WWE, as his comments suggest. Having appeared at Bloodsport and challenged Josh Barnett to a fight, he said that his contract with the company he was with was expiring, meaning WWE.

MVP also said he would not be returning to the company again. He added that since he was not ready to retire yet, there were a few things that he wanted to do before he hung up his boots for good, including the challenge.

"My contract with the company who I won't mention right now is about to expire, and I'm not going back Josh. I'm not ready to retire yet. There's a few things I got to do before I hang them up for good. Josh Barnett would you fight me in Bloodsport?" (1:14 - 1:39)

Barnett accepted the challenge but warned him that people could get hurt in Bloodsport because of the nature of the fighting.
