Ex-WWE employee claims Cody Rhodes looked like a movie star in recent SmackDown segmentÂ
Former WWE manager Jim Cornette recently spoke about Cody Rhodes' upcoming challenge. The star will be teaming up with longtime rival Roman Reigns at Bad Blood.
Roman and Cody met at the Georgia Tech Stadium last week. The two stars settled their differences and agreed to a temporary truce to take down The Bloodline. The entire segment was booked perfectly and looked like a scene out of an action movie.
This week on the Jim Cornette Experience, the veteran mentioned that the segment was brilliantly executed. He felt that both men could have been cast as movie stars and wouldn't look out of place. Cornette felt the segment made them both seem like major stars trying to achieve a common goal of destroying The Bloodline.
"It made them look like stars. It was like a heist movie. It was incredibly done and you could see them in a movie. They didn't look out of place." Cornette continued,"They weren't having a fight. It was a conversation, a summit meeting between these two guys that are going to have to coexist, work together on the same team in the big show and what's gonna happen." [From 3:48 - 4:33]
Cody Rhodes had more problems on SmackDown this week
While the huge matchup at Bad Blood will be playing on his mind, Cody Rhodes has now lost the confidence of his friend Kevin Owens.
The cracks were visible this week on SmackDown, as Owens refused the champ's help during a tag team match against Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. KO preferred to team up with Randy Orton instead. Later, when Cody showed up during the match, things backfired as Fatu pushed him into the referee, preventing the ref from making the count while Kevin had Solo pinned.
The Bloodline won the encounter and in the aftermath, Owens was irate with Cody Rhodes. The two stars almost came to blows and Randy stepped in to calm them down.
