Ex-WWE manager credits "greats" like CM Punk for stellar WarGames match at Survivor Series (Exclusive)
Former WWE manager Dutch Mantell recently spoke about the Men's WarGames match at Survivor Series. The encounter pitted the OG Bloodline and CM Punk, led by Roman Reigns, against Solo Sikoa's Bloodline and Bronson Reed.
Reigns worked out his issues with CM Punk to work together and ensure they defeated Solo and his henchmen at WWE Survivor Series. The babyfaces overcame all odds to emerge victorious after a hard-fought battle at the show.
This week, on a special episode of Sportskeeda's Smack Talk, Dutch Mantell stated that the Men's WarGames match turned out great because of WWE greats like CM Punk and Roman Reigns in the bout. He also pointed out that other stars like Sami Zayn and Jey Uso were also experienced in this type of matchup.
"Look at who you got in there. You got some masters in there. You got CM Punk in there and you got all those guys who've been there, done that. What you notice is they don't get in a hurry. They take their time. They've probably tried to work out this match since it was announced. Probably three weeks they've been doing this and this and this."
During the same conversation, Mantell added that the stars were probably putting the match together weeks before it happened.
"Whenever they get together, they throw it to this is what I think, what do you think? So everybody knew what everybody else was thinking, the good spots. So when they got there the day of the show and put it all together, I bet they put it together in about two hours. But they already had most of it put together before they got there." [From 07:20 onwards]
The WWE veteran felt they knew what the high spots would be, and it just took them a couple of hours on the day of the show to set everything up.
On the latest edition of SmackDown, The Bloodline, led by Solo Sikoa, attacked LA Knight and Andrade, ensuring the locker room knew they were not down and out.
