Ex-WWE star breaks silence after unscripted attack on Trick Williams during NXT main event: "Keep questioning"
WWE NXT's main event tonight hosted a non-title match between Trick Williams and Shawn Spears. Williams took a loss from the former AEW star after a surprise attack left everyone asking questions.
The latest edition of NXT had some big matches and segments in store for fans. NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez won her match during the show before being leveled out by Lola Vice once again.
Meanwhile, Trick Williams faced off against Shawn Spears after the latter attacked the champion earlier in the night. The NXT Champion was rolling before a surprise appearance from Brooks Jensen led to his loss.
Jensen was held back by security, but he still managed to hit Williams with the top of the announce table to knock him down.
In a video posted on X/Twitter following the incident, Brooks Jensen stated that fans should keep questioning whether the angle was a work or a shoot.
"Keep questioning. Work or shoot? Kayfabe or not? You’ll never know. Neither will I," Jensen said.

Booker T and Vic Joseph refused to acknowledge his appearance on commentary. It seems like the angle was unscripted, or WWE is looking to build a bigger storyline around it.
In a post on June 21, 2024, Jensen stated that he had left WWE and was a free agent. However, he has since appeared on NXT a few times to cause a stir and bring him a lot of attention.
Trick Williams could defend his title against multiple men at WWE NXT Heatwave
Trick Williams has become one of the most popular stars on WWE NXT in recent years. The NXT Champion has had a few good title defenses but his biggest test lies ahead of him.
After the loss to Shawn Spears tonight, it looks like WWE will inject the former AEW star into the title picture. Meanwhile, Ethan Page and Je'Von Evans are also in contention for the title.
NXT Heatwave could very well host a Fatal Four-Way match between the superstars for the title. It would be the perfect way to take the title off Trick Williams if the creative team has other plans for him.
