Ex-WWE star claims he got injured in a match against Gunther; calls him out for a rematch
Gunther is set to defend the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Bash in Berlin, and The Ring General already has challengers lined up for the title. Recently, Low-Ki, aka Kaval, called out the champion for a rematch.
From 2008 to 2010, Low-Ki became Kaval in the Stamford-based promotion and eventually left the company. The highlight of the star's career was winning the second season of NXT and a short feud with Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental Championship.
In a recent appearance on Cafe de Rene, the 44-year-old veteran called out several world champions, including Gunther. The star called out The Ring General for a rematch and spoke about his past two encounters with the current World Heavyweight Champion, where Low-Ki cracked his femur in a tag team match.
"I did put out a message directly aimed at Gunther from WWE. Why? I believe I was his first match in WXW in 2008. I was outsized by 100 pounds. I pushed him to the limit and left him bloody as IWGP Junior Champion... I pushed him to a limit in a tag match against him and Timothy Thatcher in WXW Germany, and I slapped him so hard that I actually cracked my femur, and then I finished the match," Ki said.
He added:
"Me, from a historical standpoint, I'm calling out the top of the food chain in the biggest company in the world because I can. I still train at the main event level. You still got me by size, and you're in a better shape now than you've ever been before. Okay, but that still means nothing to me cause I can beat you," Ki said. (From 00:43 to 01:51)

Gunther's first televised title defense will take place at WWE Bash in Berlin
After losing at The Grandest Stage of Them All in Philadelphia, Gunther returned to WWE RAW with one goal in mind, which was to win the King of the Ring tournament.
Upon controversially winning the tournament, The Ring General went to The Biggest Party of the Summer in Ohio and became the fourth World Heavyweight Champion of the Modern Era.
The current WWE World Heavyweight Champion has made several defenses on the live event circuit from the United States to Germany. However, the upcoming rematch with Randy Orton for the title will be his first televised title defense.
