Ex-WWE star comments on Hulk Hogan being accused of racism (Exclusive)
WWE legend Hulk Hogan has recently become a hot topic of conversation, owing to some accusations of racism against him. However, a former name in Triple H's roster believes that the accusations may be exaggerated.
The Hulkamaniac's beer brand, Real American Beer, has been under scrutiny as of late after a social media influencer called Essence Jenai was let go. This resulted in Essence Jenai accusing Hogan of racism, especially considering how she was replaced by white women.
Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, former WWE star EC3 stated that the accusation may not hold much water at this point:
"Influencers on social media are not gonna be your most honest source, and I am not saying she is right or she is wrong. But I will know as somebody who has endorsed some weird cr*p online, I never once talked to the owner and when they never hit me back to do another Instagram post or social media collab, I never once thought that the head of that company, the CEO perhaps or the face of it, went out of his way and said, 'Oh, get rid of that guy.' I figured it was just probably happenstance." [2:45 onwards]
A spokesperson has defended the WWE legend from the allegations
Amidst the accusations against Hulk Hogan, a spokesperson for Real American Beer has claimed that the WWE legend was not at all involved in the decision to let Essence Jenai go.
Speaking to Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp, the spokesperson stated that they are already attempting communication with the agency involved:
"We are deeply troubled by the false rumor circulating on social media that a brand ambassador hired by a third-party marketing agency was terminated by Hulk Hogan for racial reasons. Real American Beer simply terminated its short-term relationship with the third-party marketing agency. Hulk Hogan was not involved in that decision, and race was not a factor. We are in communication with the agency in an attempt to clear the misunderstanding and incorrect information, and believe that htis false statement will be withdrawn."
For now, it remains to be seen whether any details about the WWE legend's controversy will come to light soon.
