Ex-WWE star recalls receiving a special gift from Triple H

WWE's new era has drastically changed the weekly products under Triple H's leadership. Recently, former Hardcore Champion Maven spoke about how The King of Kings gave him a special gift.

Maven's run with the Stamford-based promotion ended when the star was released. However, he has fond memories of his time with WWE and often talks about it on his YouTube channel.

Speaking on Maven Huffman, the former Hardcore Champion recalls the time he received his first pair of wrestling boots from Triple H when he was transitioning into a serious role in his career.

"Actually, my first pair of wrestling boots came courtesy of Triple H. As I was progressing and moving out of just being the Tough Enough kid, I had a match, and they wanted me to look more of the part. Obviously, I wasn't getting a pair of boots delivered by that night, and Hunter had a crate, and in the crate, there was a pair of wrestling boots. He didn't like the aesthetics of them, and they came up above the calf and he said he was never going to wear them."

The star tried to pay him, but Hunter declined and gifted the boots.

"I tried to pay him and offered some compensation, but he wasn't hearing any of it. He told me they were a gift from him to me, and I'm extremely thankful and grateful to this day that he was there for me in my time of need," Maven said. [From 04:20 to 05:00]

Last month, Triple H was promoting WWE King & Queen of the Ring 2024, as it was the event's return under his regime.

During the PLE in Saudi Arabia, Triple H appeared on the show and crowned Gunther and Nia Jax after they won their respective tournaments. Moreover, he gave both stars a title shot for WWE SummerSlam 2024.
