Ex-WWE star on whether Triple H's regime had plans to revive The Hurt Business

Triple H's stint as WWE's Chief Content Officer has drastically changed the landscape of the product, and the weekly shows have been stronger than ever. Recently, Shelton Benjamin commented on why the new regime didn't revive The Hurt Business.

In 2023, the Triple H-led WWE teased multiple interactions between the members of The Hurt Business on Monday Night RAW. The management staged an angle where MVP and Omos' appearance allowed Bobby Lashley to become the new number-one contender for the United States Championship on the red brand.

However, it all went nowhere, and the whole segment led to nothing new. In an interview with Metro UK, Shelton Benjamin addressed why The Game's regime didn't revive The Hurt Business on Monday Night RAW, as there was interest to see the faction reform in the company.

"There was definitely conversation and planning for the Hurt Business to make a return. And then things just changed. They set dates, the dates changed, and things changed. And then suddenly it was like, 'Nope, we’re just not doing it!"' Benjamin said. [H/T: Metro UK]

MVP wanted Naomi or Bianca Belair to join The Hurt Business on WWE RAW

The Hurt Business made waves in professional wrestling as it stood out from a generic faction. However, MVP wanted to do more with the group on RAW. Sadly, the stable had its glory days before they broke up and went their separate ways in WWE.

Recently, MVP revealed that the star wanted to add a female member to the group. The former United States Champion wanted to add either Naomi or Bianca Belair to the mix. However, the former WWE regime shut the idea down, as both female stars were in different storylines.

"Me, Bobby, and Shelton discussed both Trinity and Bianca as an addition. But they had other plans for both of them," Porter wrote.

The faction never reached its full potential and abruptly ended before WrestleMania at Raymond James Stadium.
