Ex-WWE star willing to return after 15 months to work with Randy Orton

Randy Orton has been one of WWE's most successful superstars since debuting on the main roster in 2002. In a recent interview, The Viper's former tag team partner Matt Riddle addressed whether RK-Bro could reunite.

Riddle was released from WWE in September 2023 after five years with the company. The Original Bro's main roster run is best remembered for his tag team partnership with Orton. The two men held the RAW Tag Team Championship twice and became friends in real life.

On Developmentally Speaking, Riddle said he would like to join forces with Orton again if a WWE return materializes:

"I think the one thing I really wanted to finish was RK-Bro. RK-Bro has some untied ends, some loose ends, if you will, and it would be nice to finish that, even if it's just me getting punted and I lose. Whatever. It would be nice to put a period at the end of it." [42:26 – 42:45]

Riddle also clarified he is still friends with Randy Orton and regularly exchanges text messages with his former tag team partner.

Matt Riddle "would definitely" return to WWE

In December 2022, Matt Riddle received a 60-day suspension and was sent to a rehabilitation facility after failing WWE's wellness policy for the second time.

Riddle added that his September 2023 departure from the company came when he felt "overwhelmed" with life inside and outside the wrestling business. A year on, the 38-year-old believes things would be different if he returned:

"If they would ever have me back, I would definitely go back," Riddle continued. "I think for me, though, I think the amount of time I was working there and the length of time I worked there, I think I was just a little overwhelmed, and then have me go to rehab for a couple of months." Riddle went on to describe his stint in rehab as "very hard" and "not a vacation." He also claimed the experience "made things worse."
