Ex-WWE Superstar recalls how John Cena and Nikki Bella were together behind the scenes (Exclusive)
John Cena and Nikki Bella were one of the most beloved couples in WWE at one point before their breakup. A former star in the company, EC3, recently spoke about his perception of the couple back when they were in touch more.
Nikki Bella (aka Nikki Garcia) has been allegedly going through a trying time recently owing to her reported divorce proceedings. This has led to much conversation about her past and future and what she intends to do next. When speaking on the matter, EC3 was asked about what the chemistry was like between John Cena and Nikki back when they were together.
Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, the former WWE star stated:
"As for John and Nikki, anytime I saw them together, they were always, they had good chemistry. Fun to be around, you know. I didn't go on too many double dates with them. I went on one double date with Nikki and Daniel Bryan and Brie at one point, and that was a lot of fun. Having a boundary is important, and better to have decided that, you know, made that commitment that you don't want kids, and they do and split hopefully on amicable terms." [3:08 onwards]

Why did Nikki Bella and John Cena split up in WWE?
While Nikki and John were quite clearly very close with each other, WWE fans were heartbroken when they eventually decided to split up.
Despite their love for each other, their different priorities in life apparently contributed to their breakup. Speaking in an interview with ET, Nikki called the decision to split traumatizing but a correct decision nonetheless.
"I think a lot of women get into this situation when it's like, 'I love this person, but I don't know if it's right for my life,' and that's a hard thing. Sometimes we meet amazing people, but we're just meant to live a different life. (...) I just got this feeling so deep in my gut of, like, 'I need to walk away.' And no one thought I would, but it was hitting me so hard. Even though it's painful and even traumatizing, I just knew it was right," said Nikki Bella.
As of now, it remains to be seen how the matter progresses in the coming weeks.
