Ex-WWE writer discusses Vince McMahon's involvement in the Ring Boys scandal: "Their stories are too similar" (Exclusive)

Former WWE head writer Vince Russo recently spoke about Vince McMahon being tied down in lawsuits. The former Chairman and CEO was named a defendant in another lawsuit regarding the Ring Boys scandal.

A new lawsuit was filed against Vince McMahon, Linda McMahon, and WWE. Five men have come forward alleging that they had been sexually abused under the company's watch in the '80s.

This week on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, Vince Russo said he read the entire lawsuit and noticed that the stories of all the ring boys were similar. The former writer was shocked that all five petitioners were involved in similar incidents during their time in WWE. He felt the fact that Vince McMahon did not know about this situation was hard to digest.

"I gotta say this because I read through and I read all 82 pages. There's five ring boys. Their separate stories are so similar. The only way these stories could have been corroborated is as if they were all in a room at the same time. That's not how their stories were told. Their stories were so close, the experience of each kid was so close to the next kid. It's just too close. Their stories are too similar." Russo continued, "It's really hard to read through all this and just believe Vince had no clue what was going on. As bad as you want to believe that, it's hard to believe he did not know this was going on under his nose." [From 25:00 onwards]

Vince McMahon is already dealing with a lawsuit by former WWE employee Janel Grant, who accused him of sexual harassment and trafficking. The 79-year-old's reputation has also seemingly been dented by the recent Netflix series documenting the rise and fall of pro wrestling's most successful promoter. It will be interesting to see how this situation develops in the coming months.
