Ex-WWE writer feels the Becky Lynch vs. Liv Morgan Steel Cage match was cut short; shares possible reason (Exclusive)
Former WWE head writer Vince Russo recently spoke about Liv Morgan and Becky Lynch squaring off inside a Steel Cage. This was a rematch from their earlier encounter at King and Queen of the Ring where Liv dethroned Becky for the Women's World Title.
The Man got her rematch against Liv Morgan this week as the two women stepped inside a Steel Cage with the fate of the Women's World Championship hanging in the balance.
On a recent episode of Sportskeeda's Legion of RAW, Russo claimed that the main event was the only match of consequence on the whole show. He felt the other matches went on too long and the girls didn't get much time for the main event. He detailed that the two stars may have been a little sore after their match in Saudi Arabia this past Saturday.
"The only match that had any value on the entire show was the cage match at the end. They had two commercial breaks during that match, you got to see hardly nothing. They gave all these other matches beforehand so much time, and they gave that cage match nothing. I don't know if the girls were hurt coming out of Saudi. I don't know bro. It could be something like that." [From 3:50 onwards]
It was a chaotic main event on RAW that saw interferences from Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, and JD McDonagh. Even Braun Strowman rushed down to the ring, in pursuit of McDonagh.
All these exchanges led to Mysterio getting pushed into the cage door which slammed on Becky. This allowed Liv Morgan to slip out and win the match.
