Ex-WWE writer highlights major "problem" with Bo Dallas and Uncle Howdy segment on RAW (Exclusive)
Former WWE head writer Vince Russo spoke about the Bo Dallas and Uncle Howdy segment. The angle became the talking point of this week's show.
The Wyatt Sicks dropped a VHS tape this week on RAW. It carried footage of Bo Dallas and Uncle Howdy having a conversation. The latter asked Bo some difficult questions about coping with the loss of Bray Wyatt. Dallas said that he missed his brother, and all he ever wanted was to be like Bray.
This week on Legion of RAW, Russo claimed WWE missed some of the nuances during the segment. He felt that after the VHS tape was dropped, the cameras should have panned to Michael Cole. The veteran writer detailed that Cole speaking about the episode would make it seem more credible.
"Here's the problem, bro. Here's where they don't know how to do this, and what Vince [McMahon] would call this would be the nuances. So we see that tape. If this is real, we are coming back to an on-camera, and Michael Cole is going to give his feelings about it. Michael Cole is gonna talk about what he just saw. If this were real, that's how it would go down. But that's not what they do because they're a wrestling company. We went right into a match, bro, with no discussion whatsoever. That is your problem," Russo said. [From 16:22 onwards]
The tape raised many more questions than answered, leaving everyone in the WWE Universe speechless.
It will be interesting to see how this storyline develops in the next few weeks on RAW.
