Female ex-WWE star details her relationship with Vince McMahon: "He was shockingly very sweet and nice"
A former WWE Diva recently discussed her relationship with Vince McMahon. She claimed the former Chairman was "shockingly very sweet and nice."
The former WWE Superstar in question is none other than Cherry. Deuce 'n Domino's former manager spent nearly three years in the Stamford-based company before she was released from her contract in 2008. The 49-year-old recently addressed her relationship with her former boss in an interview with the Wrestling Then and Now podcast.
Cherry claimed the former WWE Chairman was unexpectedly "very sweet and nice" to her, dubbing him a "legend."
"Vince was, shockingly, very sweet and nice. So, I was a little nervous about approaching him. So, in legends, I mean, he's a legend really, you know, to be able to have the guts to kinda knock on his door and go in and have a conversation, to have him so gracious too. And everybody's like, 'Oh, he's such a d*ck. He's so this, that, and the other.' Not to me and not to other people," she said.
The former WWE Diva pointed out that although the 79-year-old might have been "the bad guy" to some people, he was not to her. She added that he graciously allowed her to talk to him and take some of his time:
"I mean, to me, I felt like he had people that could be the bad guy. He didn't have to be. And if he was, I would understand. He's a billionaire. He has a huge mind for the business. But he was so so gracious to allow me to talk to him and take his time. And, of course, I didn't take too much of his time but that was, you know." [4:18 - 5:01]
Cherry seemingly had a crush on the former WWE Chairman's son
During her interview with Wrestling Then and Now, Cherry also addressed her relationship with Vince McMahon's son, Shane McMahon. She seemingly disclosed that she had a crush on him.
Deuce 'n Domino's former manager stated that she thought Shane O'Mac was good-looking:
"Shane was just in passing too. He's huge. He's like a big dude [laughs]. So, to be able to wrestle, good for him, because he's got the size on him. So, and good-looking. Did I just say that? [Laughs]. And he's a good-looking dude [laughs]. [Kara McMahon, what could've been?] Oh my God! He wouldn't have been able to handle me. I'm a little, yeah, no, we won't go there, anyway," she said. Cherry returned to the ring last month for the first time in nearly 16 years at a PURE-J event. It would be interesting to see if she would ever appear on WWE TV again.
